How Firm a Foundation?
Looking through the kitchen window on May 9, you would have seen Michael
Allgyer beginning the excavation for the foundation. The limestone rock
required pounding before it would yield to the scoop.
The foundation is the first part in the plan which is now carried out under the guidance of Dave Esh.
Merle Stoltzfus and John Esh, with help from others, created the plans for final approvals.
As the work proceeds under the guidance of Dave Esh, the word "guidance" can acquire new meaning. Someone knows what he is doing.
What were the "approvals" that set the course for Nicholas and his family? As descendants, are we in tune to proceed within these "plans"? Will the Stoltzfus House and the Barn be a place where we meditate on what our Lord has for us?
